Description/Application
Subsurface Safety Valve Nipples are typically used as a primary valve seating nipple for wireline retrievable subsurface safety valves.
The control line lug is eccentrically machined (not welded) with a single control line inlet and a 0.312" (7.92 mm) x 0.312" (7.92 mm) slot to allow for the passage of a single 1/4" (6.35 mm) control line to a retrievable safety valve below. The control line fluid is isolated from tubing communication by a metal-to-metal seal.
