Description / Application
The Model WSSV-H Wireline Retrievable Subsurface Safety Valves offer a wide range of wireline safety equipment to allow flexibility and adaptability to existing and new completions. The Model WSSV-H Wireline Subsurface Safety Valves may be supplied as a sub-assembly for attachment to a Subsurface Safety Valve Lock, as a complete assembly including lock, or as a sub-assembly with adapter to competitor lock.
All the Model WSSV-H Wireline Subsurface Safety Valves are flapper-type equalizing, wireline retrievable, fail-safe, Subsurface Safety Valves. When assembled to an appropriate lock, they run and land in a Subsurface Safety Valve nipple. Hydraulic control line connects the safety valve nipple to the surface emergency shutdown system. Loss of control line pressure will close the valve and shut the well.
When Model WSSV-H Subsurface Safety Valves are assembled to a Safety Valve lock, the model designation is expanded to include the lock and the safety valve nipple into which it is landed.

• Design simplicity: two moving parts: the flow tube and the flapper providing a longer working life
• Rugged construction: unique shaped flapper with a high-strength alloy pin eliminate the most common mechanical failures in a flapper valve, bent hinge pins and seat damage
• Positive sealing: seal working in conjunction with the metal-to-metal seal assures both a high and low pressure seal
• Straight through flow path: allows maximum production with minimal restriction
• Flapper Self-Equalizing System
• Emergency kill feature: kill fluids can be pumped down the tubing through the closed valve if hydraulic control of the valve is lost and it becomes necessary to kill the well
